Perimeter cabinets are inset, two toned with flat panel doors and drawers. Cabinet frames are made from beech wood with Sherwin Williams Friendly Yellow door fronts in a satin finish. Doors and drawers have Blum soft close hinges and drawer glides. Drawers are constructed from maple dovetail drawer boxes. Cabinet knobs and pulls are distressed copper from Hafele. The beautiful, white powder coated range hood was built by Ferrin Ironworks in Nashville. Anne Sacks vertical tile is stacked behind the range with a steel strip for hanging magnets and utensils. Upper cabinets have undercabinet lighting with Anne Sacks gray penny tile installed on the wall behind.
The island is constructed from white oak with blue, distressed finish. End panels are backlit with custom etched glass insets. A custom steel top by Ferrin Ironworks and a large concrete farm sink gives the space an industrial look that balances with the clean, mid-century cabinets. Cage pendant lights from Schoolhouse Electric are hung over the island.
The bar was constructed from reclaimed palette wood in a random vertical pattern and dark stain. Steel shelving above was made by Ferrin Ironworks with SchoolHouse Electric wall sconces above.
Dining area has a dark stained table with industrial seating and a Plaza Brass Chandelier from Schoolhouse Electric above.
The wall between the original living room and dining room was removed and the ceiling vaulted to open up the space. Then an Orla Kiely wallpaper from Harlequin was used as a fun accent wall.
